September 2016 Recipients
The Portobello Broad Bay Playcentre, located halfway along the Otago Peninsula near Dunedin, received $1,973 to purchase new musical instruments for the children to develop non-verbal skills.
The playgroup is a parent-led centre that places extra emphasis on growing through meaningful play based learning and encourages children to explore and experiment.
The refreshed instruments will provide an exciting stimulating area for the children to try things out, explore and spark their curiosity, whilst bringing parents and children together through music.
