Wellington City MenzShed received $2000 to replace stolen tools, enabling them to continue to create and repair toys and furniture for child care centres and community groups.
MenzShed provides a place where older, often lonely, men go to meet friends and work together on community projects that teach them new skills and restore their confidence.
Earlier in 2016, tools and several projects the members were working on, were stolen. The Mazda Foundation funding means the group is able to replace its equipment and continue its work repairing toys and furniture for child care centres and community groups in the region.
