Whitby Toy Library has received $920.59 to replace toys that have become unsafe and outdated.
The toy library provides toys for hire to families in the Porirua area. This is a great opportunity for families who cannot afford to purchase these toys that aim to improve social, mental and physical development.
The grant will allow them to replace many of their toys that are becoming tired and unsafe after 20 years of operation. Without the help of organisations like the Mazda Foundation they would need to increase membership costs which in turn will leave less fortunate families at a disadvantage.
