Shannon & Districts Playcentre has received $1,038.75 to educate children about music and the arts.
The grant will allow the parent led facility to purchase everything from costumes and instruments to puppets and puzzles.
The multicultural early childhood centre is also using the grant to purchase cultural items that will allow the children to learn more about Maori culture which will build awareness of diversity within the community.
