Julia received $2,500 to go towards training an assistance dog for her disabled daughter, Olivia.
Two years ago, Olivia was diagnosed with Autism and Triple X Syndrome making it challenging for her to be in social settings and participate in everyday activities.
Olivia received her assistance dog, Nellie, from Assistance Dog New Zealand. Nellie will help her to gain independence, confidence and participate more in the community.
