Hamilton North School received $293.25 to purchase a home therapy Airex mat to assist one of its students.
Thomas was diagnosed with X-linked Thomas adrenoleukodystrophy, a brain disorder that effects his mobility meaning he is wheelchair bound.
The mat will allow Thomas’ family to stretch his hip flexors after school and during school holidays to help maintain his joint motion and prevent the need for orthopaedic surgery.
