Nikki Anderson’s nine-year-old daughter, Roxy, has multiple pterygium syndrome which is a physical disability that restricts her from riding a bike with her peers.
The Anderson family received $5,500.00 from the Mazda Foundation to purchase a modified recumbent trike for Roxy.
Multiple pterygium syndrome can result in problems with movement and often means the person is not able to fully extend their arms or legs.
