New Zealand Conservation Trust

New Zealand Conservation Trust is dedicated to conserving and protecting native species through various predator control initiatives in the Christchurch and wider Canterbury area. The trust received a grant of $9,976 to purchase cameras that will identify predators such as possums and wild cats, and materials to help alter the current traps which are no longer proving to be efficient. The new traps will also enable the trust to ensure that any inquisitive kea and weka don’t get harmed if they attempt to remove the tempting lure inside as the metal grids will block their access.
