PiPs (People, Plants in Schools) Incorporated has a vision to connect tamariki and their whānau with the local environment through a hands-on learning approach around their food systems and gardens. The organisation has two garden facilitators who run garden clubs, manage parent volunteers, teach gardening, and facilitate events at schools throughout the Mount Maunganui and Pāpāmoa area. PiPs received a grant of $3,219 to purchase gardening equipment for upcoming projects.
