March 2021 Recipients
The Waikato River Trails Trust is a community led organisation that constructed and now maintains over 107km of walking and cycling trails. They received a grant of $5,000 towards purchasing a chainsaw and hand compactor to assist with trail surfacing. The chainsaw is an essential tool for cutting down privet trees and wilding pines, while the hand compactor will greatly assist with trail surfacing. Both items will ensure the trails are accessible and in good order for the community to enjoy.
